Enjoying catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones, whilst sharing our 2014 Syrah on the NSW long weekend. This year we  de-buded vines, to ensure the growth of quality fruit in summer, and determined if more oak is required for the red wine varieties. Syrah in spring is all about enjoying the first warmth of spring, seeing the garden take off.  This year the tulips were blooming, the oak tree was bursting with new growth and the first calves of spring were a foot . However the most important task was taking some time out to relax and enjoy the amazing transformation of the picturesque King Valley.
